Belfast Marathon
Colin’s on his sixth Belfast Marathon, and true to form, he’s perfected the art of showing up just in time … almost.
In 2023, he had to step aside as the first wave of runners set off without him. By 2024, he was still stuck in the toilet queue when the race began. But that’s just part of the fun! The atmosphere and support in Belfast are always incredible, and for Colin, it’s about more than just the running.
His favourite tradition? A post-race vegan burger with the family—definitely what keeps him going! Plus, he’s been raising money for great causes like the MS Society and the Air Ambulance.
And then there’s his brother Andrew, who once decided to “join” the marathon. He ran for a bit, ducked out to grab a coffee and a pain au chocolat, and casually reappeared at the finish line. What a guy!
For Colin, it’s not just about the race, but the memories and mishaps along the way—every year brings a new adventure.
